A module within StratOps
StratOps Workforce & Scheduling
A local-first desktop workspace for staffing, qualifications, coverage, and schedules that people review and publish.

Earlier Aura design — Calendar Key and schedule appearance controls.
About the project
A calendar can show who is assigned without explaining whether a shift is actually covered. Workforce brings staffing needs, availability, qualifications, and assignment evidence into one workflow. I developed it as a distinct desktop product within StratOps. Its focus is planned staffing: understand the coverage need, evaluate candidates, review a proposed assignment, and preserve what was authorized when a schedule is published.
What I built
- People and coverage workspaces that connect qualifications, availability, and staffing requirements.
- Calendar, staffing and apparatus views, with a contextual schedule inspector.
- Draft schedules, assignment proposals, schedule comparison, and selected-day publication review.
- Human-attributed assignment decisions, immutable publication records, and content-hash checks.
- A schedule handoff and acceptance contract for the separate station-operations workflow.
- Staged organization setup and CSV roster review with precise validation feedback.
A decision someone can inspect
The important boundary is between a suggestion, a reviewed assignment, and a published schedule. Coverage evaluation produces explicit evidence; consequential decisions require an authorized person. TypeScript models the workflow, while native commands handle durable repository changes and verify publication bindings.
Current state
Workforce is the active desktop product in development. The local scheduling, review, publication and handoff slice is implemented with development fixtures and focused checks. Organization and roster onboarding are staged previews; durable activation, broader synchronization and field validation remain further work.
