A prototype within StratOps
StratOps Operations Dashboard — Station Command
A station-operations prototype for shift readiness, apparatus, crew assignments, handoffs and a shared station display.

About the project
A published schedule describes the plan. A station still needs to know whether its people, apparatus and shift are ready to execute it. This project explores that operational view through a Station Operations workspace and its companion StationVue display. The prototype gives shift handoffs, equipment deficiencies, assigned duties and unit posture a common place to be reviewed. It is distinct from Workforce scheduling and from the 3D dispatch simulation.
What the prototype explores
- Units and crews, apparatus posture, deficiencies, checkout progress and readiness blockers.
- Shift handoff acknowledgment, notes, duty ownership and sign-on checks.
- A local staffing-activation path based on the historical scheduling prototype.
- A StationVue presentation mode with roster, apparatus, duties and simulated active calls.
- Shared same-device state and a local operational event history.
Separating the plan from the shift
Scheduling owns planned staffing and publication history; station operations owns the current shift state. The prototype explores how a crew can see readiness and act on a handoff without rewriting the plan. StationVue presents that same local state as a glanceable board.
Current state
Station Operations and StationVue are working historical prototypes, currently deferred while the new Workforce product is developed. The existing local activation path belongs to the earlier scheduling implementation. Integration with the current Workforce authority contract, multi-device operation and live CAD data remain further work.
